CHOCKING SERVICE

Several distributors and manufacturers have two-component epoxy chocks; however, Bill Spitzer & Associates distinction comes from its technical on-site installation assistance and the uppermost quality chocking compounds. Since the late 1970’s, Bill Spitzer & Associates partnered with Philadelphia Resins to utilize marine based chocking methods, benefits, and advantages to the industrial, energy, and petrochemical markets. Today, we are considered one the innovators of land-based use of chocking compounds in all the various industries.

Our goal is to provide specialized epoxy grouts and guide the grouting installation of machinery and equipment properly, efficiently, and successfully for the client. There will always be another product or company that sells a product, but Bill Spitzer & Associates utilizes over 40 years of on-site experience, industry standards, and excellent products to provide an unparalleled level of service. Here is how we achieve that:

"BEFORE"

  • Technical and Engineering Data Analyzation

    • With over 100 years of collective experience, we have seen just about every problem, configuration, and circumstance. The technical expertise of our sales personnel is perhaps our largest advantage for our customers. Bill Spitzer & Associates salespeople review baseplate, bedplate, soleplate, anchor bolts, and chocking plan designs of critical equipment.

    • Chocking is a core and major application for Bill Spitzer & Associates. We are often involved in the initial phases of the supply chain with packagers or OEM’s that utilize epoxy chocks at their facility. Subsequently, those packages or skids are sold to other clients in the field and Bill Spitzer & Associates technical sales team arrives on-site to assure proper epoxy grouting. In this case, we are involved at multiple levels of the supply chain to support technical and engineering techniques, plans, and materials.

  • Ensure Constructability

    • The ability to understand drawings or specification to installation site feasibility was learned over the many years. Additionally, the inherent knowledge of API 686, ACI 351, PIP STS03601, and other industry standards help assure clients to have a constructable job-site, scope, machinery, or equipment. We assist in estimating project parameters and identify possible obstacles, which will prevent overrun costs and meet scheduling milestones.

    • Engineering consultation relevant to correct sizing of chocks based on loading criteria and equipment specifications

    • Consult with proper expansion or control joints designing, chocking compound estimating, open-cell foam requirements, appropriate cleaning, adhesion of damming, and chock area configurations.

  • Inventory and Response Times

    • We understand the importance of quickly responding and reacting to customers' needs. With warehouses in Houston, Odessa, Fort Worth, Corpus Christi, and Baton Rouge, we have local inventory available for products we sell, cutting down on lead times, meeting last minute demands, or conforming to just in time inventory measures. Chocking requires some or all these materials; open-cell foam, release agent, Jiffy mixing blades, strip caulking, putty, and ITX-59 solvent.
